Voice of The Client Survey Reveals MMS Provider’s Nine-Month Impact

A $1.6B national, transportation and logistics firm chose PiiComm’s managed mobility services to manage in excess of 6,500 mobile devices. This decision was made after it determined that the mobile device manufacturer’s warranty agreements were insufficient for their fleet management and support requirements.

At a high level PiiComm delivers the following services:

  • spares management
  • asset inventory management and tracking,
  • real-time fleet analytics
  • web-ticketing
  • repair management

The devices are mission-critical component of the business. As a result, the tolerance for downtime is an hour or less.

Consequently, the resulting engagement consisted of a suite of standard and customized services. These included a fully-managed spares program. This mitigates the risk of revenue loss and ensures that users whose devices became inoperable are promptly provided fully-configured replacement units.

Ten months after implementation, a survey of forty-one customer contacts with daily administrative responsibility for mobile devices was carried out.  The goal was to determine their level of satisfaction with PiiComm’s services. In addition to overwhelmingly positive feedback, most respondents remarked on the PiiComm managed mobility services Portal’s effectiveness at simplifying user interactions.
